On Saturday, I taught another one-day Tech class. I scored 100%! All 18 of the students passed the test. This is only the second time that I can recall that everyone in the class passed the test.
Right after the lunch break, a couple of the students were making noises like they were going to fail and asked when the next class was going to be. I asked one of them how much he had studied before the test, and how many practice tests he’d taken. When he said that he hadn’t taken any, I wanted to throttle him! I try to make very clear that without any pre-study, one’s chances of passing the test are greatly diminished. I don’t know if he was just playing dumb, but as it turned, out he scored 100% on the test.
I videotaped the first hour of the class. That’s the YouTube video above. Needless to say, I have a lot to learn about making videos. For one thing, I need a lot more light.
The video shows me covering the first three sections in my Tech study guide: Electrical principles, Ohm’s law, and power calculation. If any of you actually watch the video, I’d love to hear your comments. This includes comments about how I can improve both the content and the video production quality.
