Just for fun, ham radio in Lego World. It’s amazing how much work went into this. (Thanks to Bob, K0NR, for the link to this video.)
This is a comprehensive guide to working ham radio satellites – from basic theory to tactical and practical. Tamir, N6JJ, has a bunch of other videos on his channel, too. (Thanks to the August 23, 2019 episode of the ARRL Audio News for the link to this video.)
On Twitter, Eric, K0EAP, wrote, “I still really suck at sending letters and numbers that have 4 dits in them; H 6 4 are still so frustrating. I have such a hard time with them. Any tips?”
I replied, “I think you’re counting the dits. Not sure how you solve the problem, though. Maybe concentrate on how long to hold down the dit paddle instead of the number of dits.”
Then, Robert, PA7RG, advised, “For receiving search YouTube hamradioqrp: learning problem characters in morse – the trouble with dits.” That’s the video above.
The video offers some good advice. Basically, what he suggests is to practice letter combinations that are all dits, such as the word SHE. I think this is great advice and am going to refer people to this video when they tell me that they have this problem.
