I’m building a little Arduino project for a guy that requires some audio output. I thought that I’d just build a little audio amp with an LM386. I put it all together today on a prototyping board only to find that I’d built an oscillator, not an amplifier. After looking at a few forum posts and this video, I think I’ve got it pretty much tamed now.

Your feedline disconnect reminds me of a discussion I heard a few years back. Is it better to open the leads during a storm, like in the video? Or take the center and shields to ground?
