A PowerPoint version is also available for members to download. All they’ve done, though, is taken the script of the video and put it on PowerPoint slides.
There have got to be better videos out there that convey the fun and excitement of amateur radio. If you have any favorites, please comment below.

Like so much of what the ARRL does, that video is kind of stiff. Technically correct, not quite off-putting, but… not really inviting either. Just typing into the youtube search bar “what is ham radio used for” turned up this:
Maybe not exactly what the ARRL should publish, but it is much more watchable and accessible by the general non-ham public.
And Chris, that MTN ‘Space’ video is really good. While it doesn’t give any technical details, it packs in an emotional punch and even makes ham seem a little bit cool and youthful. That’s just what we need.
