I got an email from a reader this morning, who said, “I guess you practice what you preach” followed by the link RBN activity of KB6NU. Clicking on that link yielded the following (click on it to see a full-size image):
This chart shows all my activity over the past year as reported by the ReverseBeacon Network (RBN). As noted, this includes CW, PSK, and RTTY activity. In my case, that’s all CW.
This is a pretty neat site. In addition to providing information about your own activity, the home page provides spots in real time of members of the various CW clubs, such as CWops, FOC, SKCC, NAQCC, and more. Here’s a screen shot I took just now:
As you can see, you can slice and dice the data in a number of different ways. you can ask for spots from only one club, or one band, and even the speed of the operator. Pretty cool, eh?
The website, the CW Club RBN Spotter, is the work of Fabian, DJ1YFK. He’s also the mastermind behind Learn CW Online, or lcwo.net, which allows you to learn CW online without needing to download an app.
