I’ve worked Keith, or Key for short, K7MOA, several times in the past, but it wasn’t until his QSL card showed up in my mailbox that it occurred to me that it might be a word. The reason for this is that, since the pandemic hit, my wife and I have been playing a fair amount of Scrabble, and when you play a lot of Scrabble, you discover words that you never knew existed. In case you’re wondering, the Scrabble Word Finder defines moa as an “extinct flightless bird of New Zealand.” Over and above that, Key’s an interesting fellow to work.
When I worked Gary, he was at his home in Florida, but operating a remote station in Croatia. Check out his QRZ.Com page for more info on that.
