Next One-Day Tech class: Ann Arbor, MI; Saturday, February 7, 2026

My next One-Day Tech Class amateur radio license class will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Ann Arbor, MI in Room 1303 of the EECS Building on the University of Michigan’s North Campus. The class will start promptly at 9:00 am and run until 3:30 pm, at which time the license exam will be given.

High school and college students can attend for free, but there is a $20 charge for all others wishing to take the class. Please register in advance, so that I know how many to expect. If you’re a student, all you have to do to register is send an email to [email protected] stating that you want to take the class.

All others can register using PayPal or Amazon Pay.

You can also send a check for $20 to:

Daniel M. Romanchik
1325 Orkney Dr.
Ann Arbor, MI 48103

Please include your e-mail address if you are paying by check.

In addition, there is a $15 fee to take the test. This fee is payable directly to the Volunteer Examiners on the day of the class.

When I get your registration, I will put you on another e-mail list and send you more details a week or two before the class.

Before you attend the class, be sure to download my study guide. The PDF version is free. Before the class, read through the study guide a few times, then take some online practice tests. If you don’t pre-study, I can guarantee that you’ll have a hard time passing the test.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Dan: Your study guide and all day Technician class and test yesterday (1/30/16) was great! I passed and really learned the material. I’ll recommend your study guides and class sessions to others.

    THANKS!

    Dan-
Will you be instructing a 1 day General/Extra Class?

Some people have tried one-day General classes, and they’ve worked, but only with LOTS of studying before class by the students. I’d say that a one-day Extra class is really impossible.
