Real hams went to Hara!

August 27, 2016 By Dan KB6NU 4 Comments

Geez, do I have a face for radio or what? This arrived in the mail yesterday. I got this from Teespring, but it looks like they were available for only a short time for some reason.

I know there’s a lot of humor in this shirt…light-hearted representation of beliefs, etc. but I think this is one of the very divisive elements of amateur radio culture. So many declarations of who “real” Hams are! Here’s mine. Wanna know who real hams are? Any ham with a valid license, that’s who!

I agree with you completely, Frank, and if you’ve read any of my other blog posts, you’ll see that’s exactly how I feel. I pretty much ignore anyone who spouts off about who the “real hams” are.

This really is just a joke, and what makes it even more of a joke is that I’ve been possibly one of the most vociferous about moving Hamvention out of Hara Arena.

QSL Dan…and the active eHam forum thread of Why Hara? Agrees with you. Keep up the good work, here, there and across the pond with Martin & Colin!

    Maybe HARA(tm?) sent a DMCA take-down notice?

You know you are a real ham when you discover your missing KWM-2 in the yard when you get around to mowing.
