The forum schedule for this year’s Dayton (Xenia?) Hamvention have finally been posted to their website. I’m speaking on Friday morning at 9:15 am in Room 4. They’ve listed the title as “One Day Tech Class,” although what I’ll really be speaking about it teaching one-day Tech classes. I hope that I can get them to change that. I don’t want folks showing up expecting to be taught—I want them to come to learn how to teach.
Overall, it looks like a great lineup of forums. The ones that caught my eye include:
- County Hunting, Tim Eklin, W8JJ. I was one of the three who signed off on his first Worked All Counties award.
- Mesh Networking, Bill Curtice, WA8APB
- Podcast 360, George Zafiroupolis, KJ6VU. This forum is, of course, being run by my friends who produce the HamRadio360 podcast.
- FCC, Curt Bartholomew, N3CG. It will be interesting to attend this forum, given the new leadership of the FCC, who are apparently more interested in enforcement now, and the talks leading to a new memorandum of understanding between the ARRL and FCC with regards to the Amateur Auxiliary program.
