Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) is a private foundation that exists to support amateur radio and digital communication science and technology. They do this by making grants (including support for scholarship programs and research & development projects) and managing 44Net.
To help them do this, ARDC has four committees:
- Grants Advisory Committee (GAC). The GAC reviews grant applications.
- Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC works on 44Net-related projects and policies.
- Conduct Review Committee (CRC). The CRC evaluated Code of Conduct incident reports.
- Grants Evaluation Team (GET). The GET is a new committee, starting in 2024. It will evaluate and analyze grant reports.
The committee members are all volunteers, who are limited to three-year terms. As a result, every year ARDC has to recruit new members for these committees.
Volunteering to serve on one of these committees is a good way to give back to amateur radio. If you are interested in doing so, please check out this blog post. You better hurry, though. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2023.
