On Saturday, December 6, we ran the latest in our series of one-day Tech classes. Nine out of ten who took the test passed it. The tenth missed it by only one question. :(
Here they are:
- Karen, KD8JUN
- John, KD8JUO
- Will, KD8JUP
- Nick, KD8JUQ
- Jeff, KD8JUR
- Mary, KD8JUS
- Steve, KD8JUT
- Andy, KD8JUU
- Greg, KD8JUV
This session was different from the others in that four of those who attended decided not to take the test. I’m sure that two of them will eventually take the test, and fairly sure that the other two will as well. I’m certainly going to keep in touch and encourage them to do so. With that in mind, I’m going to claim that we’re still batting 90% when it comes to our students passing the test.
Also, it appears that my idea to make this a regularly-scheduled event is paying off. We had space for 15 in the classroom we were assigned at the museum. We had 15 pre-register for the class by the end of November, and I had to start a waiting list. I put eight people on the waiting list. What that means is that the March class is already half full.

Our club is getting ready to do one the those classes in March. Cal you give me some information on how you did yours? haminaday.org does not seem to be the same site it used to be.
Thank you and 73
Steve

Jim, K8ELR, reports that one of the four students who didn’t take the test right after the class, Nabil Malik, passed the test last Saturday. Congrats, Nabil! So, for those keeping score, we’re 10/11 for this class.

Sounds good, and congrats to all the newly licensed Techs. I still remember (back only 5 mo. ago) when I passed my Tech exam. Now I got my General … maybe gonna go after an extra eventually.
btw – no code Tech … er, correction, General, who knows code! 30wpm and counting…
