This Twitter item is so funny that it deserves special treatment:
M0ZPK
Just received this e-mail :/ thought was a joke but its not! its all free here : m0zpk.co.uk #hamradio
How amazing is this? Not only are these people stealing M0ZPK’s designs, they’re demanding that he shut down his website, so that people can’t build them for free!
This is so funny, that I almost don’t know where to start. The M6 license the emailer is referring to is the British equivalent of our Tech license. In other words, he’s just getting started in the hobby. And, wow, he’s even got a multimeter!
Having said all that—and assuming that M0PZK doesn’t actually shut it down—his website is worth a look. He has information on some of the projects he’s been working on, including:

I wonder if there are any provisions in the UK licensing laws about using your license as part of a fraudulent scheme? This certainly sounds to me like they are trying to commit extortion – “So don’t stand in our way! Or we will tell everyone your blueprints don’t work.”
The fact that M0ZPK gives his designs away for free does not preclude him from being a victim of extortion over said designs.

Hmmmmm. That’s an interesting thought.

One operational definition of chutzpah is the story about the boy who shot his parents, then asked that the court be merciful because he was an orphan. I think these people may have trumped the orphan.
I don’t know about taking them to court, though. One thing I’ve learned in life is that you never want to mess with someone who owns a multimeter.

I own three DMMs. Does that make me triply dangerous?

This is hilarious. I’ll put M0ZPK’s ‘scope against these semi-literates and their DMM any day.

“Your obvious not very cleaver enough…” What a cutting remark!
Yes, I think this trumps the orphan for chutzpah.

LOL. Thanks for your website. There’s a lot of useful info. I might have a go at the 9:1 unun, myself.
One thing I did notice is that the gf didn’t say what her profession was. :-)
Cheers n beers,
Jon

I was going to pinch his collinier design for myself 😢
