This from Jim, W4QO…..
My local club, the North Fulton ARL (nfarl.org) has released a new code practice oscillator (CPO) kit with several interesting attributes:
- Cheap! Only $10 postpaid with PayPal via their website.
- Easy kit to build. Great for youth and other novice solderers!
- DOES NOT REQUIRE A KEY! Straight keys tend to be expensive.
- Clean PCB layout by KD4Z with uncrowded soldering points.
- Full instructions online.
- Low battery drain… good for over a year IF power left turned on!
- Great for group build; quantity rates available. Contact: KN4OAK@…
- Have a key? it plugs easily, making an inexpensive CPO. 1/8″ jack.
- Emphasizes my easy Morse Code character order for earliest ON THE AIR. w4qo.blogspot.com
- Fits in an Altoids tin for handy travel protection.

Mine arrived yesterday
Doug says
Does it work with paddles by chance?
Dan KB6NU says
No, sorry. It’s just an oscillator. It doesn’t do dits and dahs like a keyer.
