I think this is a very cool project.
I didn’t participate in many of the QSO Today Virtual Expo forums, but I did sit through this one, and being the old-time that I am, found it to be very interesting. I still have many Heathkits here in the shack including a triple-output, benchtop power supply that I use all the time. I also have a couple of code practice oscillators that I take with me when I do CW demonstrations.
Just as an aside, Heathkit used to be located in Benton Harbor, MI. I live in Ann Arbor, MI, and every once in a while, when I give someone my QTH, they’ll say, “Oh, that’s where Heathkit used to be!” and I’ll have to corrrect them.
This just popped up on Southgate today. These two fellows have started a YouTube channel called Ham Radio Perspectives, and this is their second video.

When I saw “WiFi antenna tuner” in your headlines, I was thinking “wow, someone designed a tuner for 2.4 GHz!”

I routinely tell folks on the phone when giving my mailing address, “That’s Ann Arbor, with no ‘H'”, since there a lot of towns in Michigan with “Harbor” in the name.
Lots of folks seem to know that Ann Arbor is the home of the University of Michigan Wolverines, though.
