In this episode, I talk to Jordan, KN4CRD, the developer behind JS8CALL, a digital mode that provides all the robustness of FT8 AND allows you to pass messages between stations. I really think that this is a “next step” in digital modes, as it allows those of who do like a little “jibber jabber” to take advantage of FT8 technology.

Jim, WB2REM has been a radio amateur since 1963 and has traveled and operated in 72 countries including Cuba and Guantanamo Bay. He also operates his station by remote control, taking advantage of his prime Florida location with his excellent antenna arrays. On this episode, Jim shares his thoughts on making friends around the world via ham radio, the use of remotely-controlled stations, FT8, and DXing when there are no sunspots.
