CW T-Shirts

September 7, 2006 By Dan KB6NU 1 Comment

For a while now, I’ve been thinking about opening up a CafePress store to sell stuff with the logo, “REAL Hams Work CW”. (Now, don’t get all bent out of shape. Those of you who know me know that, while I do encourage the use of Morse Code, I don’t look with disdain on those who don’t.)

I thought it might be a fun way to make a couple of bucks. And I do mean a couple of bucks. Unless you sell tons of stuff, CafePress is really making all the money on merchandise sold there.

At any rate, on the Flying Pigs QRP Club mailing list, there was mention of two simliar CafePress stores:

  • CW Lifestyle. This store offers practially the whole range of CafePress merchandise—including shirts, hats, coffee mugs, etc.—with the logo, “CW: Not Just a Mode, It’s a Lifestyle.” The logo includes an image of a straight key.
  • Good Fist T-Shirt. This vendor is less ambitious. He only offers a white t-shirt with an picture of Samuel Morse on the front and the logo, “I like a good fist on a straight key” on the back.

Anyway, what do you think about my slogan? Can you think of any others that might convey the same message?
