So, I’ve recently been going through some old magazines and cam across this advertisement. I forget what issue it came from, but RigPix says that it was manufactured in the early 1990s. Aside from being a bit chunky—and probably pretty expensive—this looks like it could have been a great radio. And, just the thing to encourage more activity on 1.2 GHz.
Anyone remember this radio? How much did it cost? Did it work well?
Modern-day equivalent is my Alinco tri-band HT. There used to be 1.2 GHz repeaters in SE Mich, but I think they are off the air, now.
