Dave, N8SBE says
The talk 5:30 CT1BOH – “There is Nothing Magic About Propagation” moderators K5TR and N5KO is truly ground-breaking. Using the billions (!) of FT8 contacts stored in the PSKReporter database, it is shown that the VOACAP model of propagation prediction is thoroughly broken. Instead using the FT8 data, it is shown that real-time propagation paths are revealed that are highly accurate. You may have to watch the talk and slides more than once for everything to sink in.
