Here are a few #hamradio videos that I found out about whilst Twittering:
EMC & Shack Noise: Filtering the mains supply. This short video shows how a simple homemade choke can reduce noise coming in via the power line.
EEVblog #1032 Part 1 – John Kenny Keysight Interview. When I worked for Test&Measurement World magazine, Hewlett Packard was our biggest advertiser, and arguably, the most respected test and measurement company in the world. They’ve since gone through two name changes, first Agilent, and now Keysight. In this video, Dave interviews John Kenny, who’s been with the company for more than 40 years. None of the Agilent of Keysight rubbish. John is a real HP guy. Watching this video will give you some insight as to how great products are designed and manufactured.
LHS Podcast – NE4RD Shack Build – Episode 1. This is the first of six episode in Bill’s series of videos showing you how to set up a Linux box for ham radio use. I’ve been threatening to do this for a while, so I’ll be watching all six.
Dan, I am not sure what you mean by “none of the Agilent/Keysight rubbish.” John works for Keysight and was very clear in the interview that Keysight products and values trace back to the first test and measurement products by HP.
Keysight does indeed make great products, and I didn’t mean to disparage the company in any way. I was trying to make a dig at the way we name companies these days. I guess that I didn’t get that right.
I’ve been listening to LHS podcasts since I encountered the good folks at this year’s Dayton Hamvention(r), and came away with a logo shot glass for my donation. I’m up to podcast #52, so I have a bit to go before I catch up.
I listen to them on Stitcher, which is a great podcast app, and stream them via Bluetooth through my vehicle’s head unit.
Of course, with the typical 2+ hour commute these days, it won’t take me too long to catch up.
Other podcasts I listen to on Stitcher include Soldersmoke, TWiT (This Week in Tech), and This American Life (my PBS fix).

Keysight makes great products and has great employees. This news report gives you a flavor of the company leadership and culture: http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/10/12/wine-country-inferno-singes-keysight-technologies-santa-rosa-hq-complex-viable/
I work for Keysight Technologies.
